Brutus|Monroe Stamp Line
My good friend Christopher, of Christopher Alan Designs, owner at Brutus Monroe.com and I teamed up last night on Periscope to bring you projects we’ve created using the Mojo Monday card sketch. Each week, I create cutting files from the sketch, I’ve been doing this for the past 4 1/2 years.
My project is based off the Mojo Monday 419 sketch, I want to attach a hanging skeleton to the front, trying to find it. I know it’s in my craft room somewhere. LOL My son may have wondered off with it, he loves skeletons (reminds me of someone else I know, 
I started off with a black card base, my card is 5 1/2, next layer, I cut a sheet of Heidi Swap’s Marquee Halloween Glitter Paper, I love this stuff. The shimmer is amazing!! Black and Gold layer is from the Recollections Midnight Magic 6×6 stack. Cut a black piece of black burlap and skeleton patterned sheet from the Recollections Halloween Boo 6×6 paper stack from Michaels. Used a rounded corner punch for the edges. The side tab is a scrap of the purple glitter paper. The Poison & Caution is cut from Tim Holtz’s idea-ology Regions Beyond 8×8 paper stack.
I was having a conversation with Christopher, trying to get my project completed before the Periscope, I wanted to use the flowers for the last element on the front. They needed something, he suggested using his Embossing ink and the Gilded Embossing Powder, that’s exactly the something I was looking for!! Thanks Christopher. I’ve put in a special request for a certain color of embossing powder, so stay tuned for that.
The inside of my card.
The inside I used a sheet from the Midnight Magic paper stack, and a strip of gold and black left over from the front. The stamp is from Inkadinkado, Brutus|Monroe Embossing Ink and Gilded Embossing Powder. I’m going to use the Brutus|Monroe Hocus Pocus Glitter for the skeletons eyes before I send it, just did not have enough time to get it completed before the Periscope.
I tried to capture the shimmer in the glitter paper, it’s so dreary and gloomy. Of course the battery for my DSLR camera was out of juice, used my cell for all the photos.
